The Complete Journey: From Delhi (6 hours with meaningful stops)
Leave Delhi early (5-6 AM) to arrive by noon with time for rest at the estate. Each stop below is optional—but worth it.

🚗 Depart Delhi (5-6 AM)
- Head toward Chandigarh on NH44. The first hour is escape from the city. Watch Delhi dissolve behind you.

☕ Stop 1: Sukhdev Dhaba
- Your first real stop. This is where truck drivers and locals eat. Not fancy. Just honest.

- Continue on NH44. Traffic around Chandigarh can be heavy (30-60 min delay possible during peak hours). Bypass road available to avoid city center.

🏔️ Enter Himachal Pradesh
- Leave Chandigarh. Continue south on NH44. The landscape shifts. Foothills appear. You’re entering the zone.

🍲 Stop 3: Dharamshala Entry - Ishar Sweets
- You’ve entered Dharamshala zone. Stop here if arriving late or craving something special. This is where local tradition lives.

🥘 Stop 4: Gyani ka Dhaba (If arriving late)
- Still on NH44 near Dharamshala. If you’re delayed or want lunch, this is real food. Not restaurant food. Dhaba food. Honest, delicious.

- Order: Rajma rice, butter chicken, chole bhature, aloo parathas, dishes. 30-45 minutes. Budget-friendly, worth the stop.

🔄 Nik Bakers: The Turn-Off Point
- Located just before/at the U-turn. This is your navigation landmark. Here you exit NH44 and take Rajgarh-Solan Road.

🏔️ Final Ascent to Raht Juneo
- You’ve turned off NH44. Now you’re on the Rajgarh-Solan Road. This is the mountain drive. Ditch the traffic. Ditch the landslide risk. One hour of climbing through forest.The road winds through sal forest. Views open up. You’re ascending. At 1,200m, you arrive. Welcome to Raht Juneo.

From Chandigarh (3.5 hours - Direct Route)
If flying into Chandigarh: Take NH44 south for ~70 km (90 min) → Exit at Rajgarh Junction → Rajgarh-Solan Road (25-30 km, 1 hour) → Arrive at Raht Juneo (3.5 hours total).
Consider stopping at Ishar Sweets or Gyani ka Dhaba along the way if you have time.
Practical Tips for the Drive
- Timing: Leave Delhi 5-6 AM. Arrive by 12-1 PM. Don’t drive the mountain road in darkness on first arrival.
- Fuel: Fill up in Chandigarh or at roadside pumps. Last proper fuel before estate is in Rajgarh town.
- Stops matter: The stops aren’t detours—they’re the journey. Taste the region. This is preparation.
- Ishar Sweets: Must-stop if open. Falooda is a cultural experience. Kulfi is perfect for hot weather.
- Gyani ka Dhaba: If arriving late (after 4 PM), stop here for lunch. No fancy dining—just good food.
- Nik Bakers location: Use it as your turn-off landmark. GPS may sometimes route you wrong—use Nik Bakers as your actual marker.
- Final road: Rajgarh-Solan Road is well-maintained. Not rough. Regular cars handle it fine. Enjoy the ascent.
- Weather check: Monsoon (Jul-Sep) brings heavy rain. Winter roads are clear but cold. Check forecast.
- Final contact: Once at Nik Bakers area, WhatsApp us for live guidance to the estate gates.
Upon Arrival at Raht Juneo
- Arrival & Check-in: You’ll arrive around 12-1 PM. Early check-in (from 12 PM) available—we’ll have a cottage ready. Or rest in taraak until 2 PM standard check-in.
- Welcome: You’ll be greeted, given a brief estate orientation, and settled into your cottage.
- First meal – Lunch: Arrive hungry. Your first meal at taraak is lunch (1 PM onwards). Let the estate feed you into the transition.
- Afternoon: Rest, shower, explore the cottage and immediate surroundings. The pace is yours—nap, read, walk, sit. Whatever calls you.
- Dinner: Back at taraak at 7-8 PM. By then, you’ve settled. The estate has begun its work on you.
- Next morning: Optional estate walk or orientation if interested. Or sleep in. The choice is always yours.
